As we approach the Medicare Annual Enrollment Period, we have learned of some changes that may impact your health insurance coverage in 2026.
Central Health Medicare Plan will no longer offer HMO Medicare Advantage plans in Contra Costa County in 2026. Patients with Central Health Classic Care II and Central Health Premier Plan I will not be able to stay with these plans after December 31, 2025.
In 2026, John Muir Health continues to participate in the following Medicare Advantage health insurance plan:
• HumanaChoice (PPO) Medicare (1-800-457-4708 (TTY: 711) Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 8 p.m., local time www.humana.com/medicare)
Patients also have the option to choose Original Medicare, including the option to choose supplemental plans.
